How would you best classify this hookup: Friends-with-benefits?

Tell us about your PARTNER(S). How well did you know them? How/Where did you meet them? How did you feel about them before the hookup? How many times had you hooked up with them? I’ve been friends with him for a while, we went to high school together and stayed in touch over the years after we graduated and went on to secondary education. I’ve been attracted to him for a while, and he had had a close mutual friend ask me about him before, but it seemed like every time I saw him he was in a relationship so I had never seriously considered him before.

How did the hookup BEGIN? What led to it? Was planning involved? Who instigated it? Where did it take place? Were alcohol or drugs involved? If so, how much? For the whole fall and over Christmas we had been texting, and we bumped into each-other a few times DT but nothing ever happened. Then about a month ago when I went home for a weekend I went to his place for a party. We got pretty drunk, I would say I drank about half a quart plus some beer. He ended up carrying me to his bed and tucked me in. Most people left early in the morning, at which point he came to check on me and I woke up – we cuddled for a while because I was cold, and then we just kind of started making out and well, I guess the rest comes in the next section!

What were your REASONS for having this hookup? Well we started cuddling, and then he asked me if I wanted to kiss him, and I said yes.. So we started making out and our hands were all over and then he asked if I wanted to fool around – big surprise, I said yes.
I didn’t really have a reason other than the fact that I’m attracted to him, and have a reasonable level of trust with him as a friend.

How did it end? During the hookup he fingered me, and I gave him a blowjob. I did not orgasm though I came close, he ejaculated so I think he did? I didn’t ask.
I enjoyed it, there was a moment where I started to wonder how long it was going to take since my jaw started to hurt, but he was pretty vocal about his enjoyment so it was worth it!
Before we started anything he would ask if I was sure, and if I wanted to do it, which I personally liked.
We didn’t discuss STIs, we were both still buzzed since it was only 6 or so in the morning, so I didn’t think of it at the time.

Do you regret this hookup? If so, why? After the hookup I went to his place for another party the next night, but I went to bed with my friend that had come with me. We haven’t seen each other since, as I’m in another province for school, but we have stayed in contact through text.
I’m still attracted to him, I would like to hook-up again once we are in the same area code! I think regardless of what happens we will still see each other and be friends, I am not really worried about commitment, so at the moment I’m just playing it by ear.

To whom did you talk about the hookup? How did they react? I’ve talked to a couple of my closest friends. They were mostly excited for me, with one expressing concern since we do have a few mutual close friends.

What was the BEST thing about this hookup? How about the WORST? Has this hookup changed the way you think about casual sex, sexuality, or yourself in general? I think the best part about this was him taking the lead and suggesting acts for me to consent to. He was pretty vocal during the hookup which was great, since I can be pretty quiet and I like having someone else talking.
The worst was that I was pretty tired and still buzzed from the alcohol, so a bit of the memories are hazy.
I think this mostly just changed the way I thought about myself. That was the first time I had ever engaged in a casual hook-up, so I think it gave me a little more confidence in my ability, especially since he has been dropping hints about what will happen when I return from school.
