My partner was a male about 22 years old, 6 feet 3 inches tall, and in incredible athletic shape. His smile and persona made me melt the minute I saw him. He was a baseball player. I did not know him at all, since we had met on the popular dating app Tinder. I was extremely hesitant and even more nervous because you never know if people are who they say they are online.

How/where did the hookup BEGIN? What led to it? Was planning involved? Who instigated it? We had been texting and talking about actually hanging out but it never was happening. Both of us were nervous. Then finally one Monday, we agreed for me to drive down to his place after my night class. I got all ready with one of my most flattering dresses and sat anxiously through class. Afterward, with nerves almost making me shake, I made the drive south about an hour to his apartment. I took a wrong turn and actually ended up in the ghetto so I called him to help me find my way. I think this helped a little because it gave me a chance to hear his voice. When I finally found it, I called him to come down and let me in. I wanted to park really quickly before he came so I would already be out of my car but while doing this I pulled into a spot too tight and hit a bright yellow pole. This is yet another reason I’ll never forget this hookup – there’s a huge yellow dent on my car still today. He came down to get me and I was so relieved because he looked just as good as I expected and hoped. It was a little awkward but it got much better quickly.

He of course had his arm around me and then inevitably the kissing began. It was so passionate and so unexpected. Who knew two strangers could come together so well? It was so invigorating – just two people with no history and no knowledge of each other beforehand. I felt amazing and so weak. He was more into rough sex than your average guy. We did some oral and then he put it in me. I felt so full and connected. He watched my every facial expression and then turned me around to finish off.

What were your REASONS for having this hookup? Bored of guys at my college, getting over an ex, and looking for someone new. Of course the physical rewards of it as well. Feeling desired and wanted.

What happened AFTER the hookup? How did you feel about it? What are your expectations/hopes for the future with this person? How do you feel about them now? Afterwards, we talked and cuddled until we both fell asleep. The next morning I was out the door by 6am to avoid any awkward post hook up conversation. I didn’t feel ashamed at all and I was glad I broke the ice and came to meet him. I pretty much knew he wasn’t looking to date anyone and that was okay for me. Even though I did really like him, hooking up with him periodically was just enough for me. We still hook up on occasion and it is still just as passionate. He is sort of cocky and thinks he can get any girl ever but I make sure to keep him in check and just not take anything too seriously.

To whom did you talk about the hookup? How did they react? My best friends and my roommates. They laughed and thought I was crazy but they are right: I am. One of the best part of hookups is dishing on the details with your friends afterwards.

Do you regret this hookup? If so, why? I don’t regret the hook up. I regret letting myself acquire the feelings afterwards.

What was the BEST thing about this hookup? How about the WORST? Has this hookup changed the way you think about casual sex, sexuality, or yourself in general? The best thing was the passion and attraction. The worst was the emotions and feelings of wanting him so badly afterwards. It has shown me that casual sex is something that can work out as long as both people stay on the same page.
