Tell us about your PARTNER(S). What did they look like? How well did you know them, had you hooked up before? How/Where did you meet them? How did you feel about them before the hookup? I had never met the guy in question in person though we had exchanged work related emails before. I met him at a symposium and he worked for a similar company. There was an immediate attraction when I was introduced to him and later I found out he felt the same. He was very attractive and well built and I felt like we were about the same age.

How/where did the hookup BEGIN? What led to it? Was planning involved? Who instigated it? No planning involved though I felt like it was going to happen (I’ve never had a one night stand before so this was purely speculation). After a dinner with a speaker and three hundred other people, everyone went their separate ways. I hung out with a crowd of coworkers and business associates for drinks and by 11 pm there were about seven of us. He kept coming back around, asking me questions, whispering to me. At some point I felt his hand brush my neck and also at the small of my back. I was afraid of my coworkers talking so I decided I needed to head up to my room shortly before midnight. I had had enough alcohol that I was questioning my judgment, and I am married and knew he was too.

I got him inside my room and there was quickly a trail of clothing to the bed. He had an amazing body and was in great shape and I was completely unselfconscious about being naked. There was a ton of foreplay, oral, etc…he was very rough and I liked it. A lot of dirty talk to each other. Anal. I offered. We went three rounds and I had amazing orgasms with no manual help, which is very unusual for me. We had less than an hour’s sleep before I had to get back up and be ready for work related stuff.

What precautions did you take to prevent STIs and pregnancy? Did you discuss STI history? I have an IUD but no other precautions.

What were your REASONS for having this hookup? I am not sure. He was charming and I was drinking. I felt very attracted sexually to him and could tell he felt the same way. I’ve never done it prior to that and haven’t done it since.

Were alcohol or drugs involved? If so, how much? Yes. Several drinks for about a three hour period prior. I would have not come on to him or responded unless my inhibitions were a little lowered. Maybe if we were in a different environment but not there.

What happened AFTER the hookup? How did you feel about it? What are your expectations/hopes for the future with this person? How do you feel about them now? No expectations. We both are married with kids and we don’t live or work in the same city. My only regret was that it was around coworkers who could have talked which was poor judgment on my part. I feel like I would probably do it again if he were interested and the circumstances were right. Only sex.

To whom did you talk about the hookup? How did they react? Only a close friend who had a similar experience. She encouraged me to contact him but I did not.

Was this a consensual and/or wanted experience for you? For your partner? Definitely. It was easy to see.

Do you regret this hookup? If so, why? No, not at all though maybe I should. It awakened me sexually and it’s actually made my sex life better in many ways.

What was the BEST thing about this hookup? How about the WORST? Has this hookup changed the way you think about casual sex, sexuality, or yourself in general? Best thing–the sex hands down and the appreciation of the male body. Worst thing–I stayed up all night with him and had to interact the next day with tons of business associates all day long. And I was a bit embarrassed when I saw him and recalled some of the things we said and did to each other. I think casual sex has its place but true chemistry is rare.
