Female, age 18-19, brunette, white sorority girl. Did not know them at all, met them 10 minutes before the sex occurred. Met them at the campus tailgate before a football game. She had traveled from the opposing school.

How/where did the hookup BEGIN? What led to it? Was planning involved? Who instigated it? We met at the tailgate. I saw her looking at me and could tell she liked me and walked right up to her and asked her name and did all the BS introductory stuff. Then I leaned close and asked her if she wanted to go somewhere private. I guess I could just sense it in the air. I took her to a classroom building I knew of about 2 minutes walk away to have sex. The building was deserted and quiet. We had sex in a classroom with a piano and some chairs in it. I assume she had drank throughout the day since just about everyone was drinking. I would estimate I had at least 8 beers preceding this occasion along with a few gulps of whisky and rum throughout the day, which definitely was a factor in the spontaneity of the hookup.

Why do you regret this hookup? I didn’t use a condom and could have gotten a disease if she was that easy, but didn’t think about it at the time. I don’t think I got anything from her but it was still poor judgment. I should have had a condom on me.

What was the BEST thing about this hookup? Spontaneity, her willingness and interest in me as a total stranger from the rival school. Made me feel like a badass. She said something like, “I wanted you as soon as I saw you,” and, “,You were the tallest guy I saw all day,” or something.

Anything else you want to add about this hookup? I was a pledge in a fraternity at the time and she was a new sorority girl at her school. There may have been a dynamic of wanting to get someone from another school or getting someone while out of town. Pledges at my school are required to wear a navy blazer with red tie and khakis so I guess I looked fairly dashing, possibly that was a factor. I had also lost my original game day date earlier in the day, otherwise the hookup wouldn’t have happened since I was sort of frantically looking for a new girl.

What are your thoughts on casual sex more generally, the role it has played in your life, and/or its role in society? What would you like to see changed in that regard? I think it has been fine for me. I feel like I’m under pressure to get as much of it as possible in the culture of the school, I feel like the more I have the cooler, more manly I am. I think the culture of it is unhealthy but I can’t stop myself from participating because I’m too easily peer-pressured and I like sex. I wish people dated more seriously but then again I don’t have the courage to do it myself.
